Prevocational Services

Via Prevocational Services provide hands-on vocational training helping individuals gain skills and confidence through both facility- and community-based activities. Via staff educate people on the variety of community and employment services available, explain and explore funding sources, and help people transition to more inclusive opportunities in the community when they are ready.

Via believes everyone can work and supports Employment First initiatives. We also realize that families, caregivers, and people with disabilities may want or need to pursue more training and become accustomed to reporting to a workplace before pursuing community employment.

Via of the Lehigh Valley is a Ticket to Work Employment Services Provider. Click here for more information.

Employment Adds Purpose to Our Lives

A job offers more than a paycheck. Having a job gives purpose and fulfillment, and offers opportunities to meet new people, establish friendships, and build relationships. Work means learning something new, honing established skills, and making meaningful contributions.

Is Via Prevocational Services for Me?

Via Prevocational Services are for people focused on getting a job and interested in learning new skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Since 1952, Via has specialized in contract packaging and assembly work, providing consistent, high-quality results for businesses. Our diverse customer base includes some of the most well-known eastern Pennsylvania – and international – companies.

On the work floor, the Via Prevocational Workshop offers a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment where individuals can improve independence, enhance work skills, develop friendships, and receive training on a variety of health and safety topics. Once individuals are comfortable and confident being part of the workforce, they are encouraged to pursue employment in the community.
