We’re excited to share that Via of the Lehigh Valley is featured in an episode of All Access with Andy Garcia, a nationally distributed educational series that highlights organizations making a difference in their communities. The episode is currently airing on public television stations nationwide.
The four-minute segment offers viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Via’s mission in action, showcasing how meaningful employment opportunities, community inclusion, and individualized support help people with disabilities reach their full potential.
Earlier this year, the All Access production team spent time at Via, capturing the energy, dedication, and impact that define our work every day. The video highlights our innovative programs, the passion of our staff, and most importantly, the accomplishments of the individuals we serve.
One of those individuals is Matt, whose story serves as the heart of the segment. Through his employment with Crothall Healthcare at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Matt has demonstrated exceptional dedication and professionalism. Over the years, he has earned numerous awards for his work and was recognized for helping save a life while on the job. His success is a powerful example of what can happen when talent, opportunity, and support come together.
“For more than 70 years, Via has believed that people with disabilities deserve every opportunity to build meaningful careers, relationships, and lives,” said Lisa Walkiewicz, President and CEO of Via of the Lehigh Valley. “We’re honored to share that message with a national audience and celebrate the achievements of people like Matt, whose accomplishments inspire us every day.”
The opportunity to be featured on All Access with Andy Garcia helps shine a spotlight on the importance of inclusive employment and the value people with disabilities bring to workplaces and communities. It also highlights Via’s partnerships with local employers that make these opportunities possible.
Since 1952, Via of the Lehigh Valley has worked to create pathways to success through vocation, inclusion, and advocacy. Each year, Via serves approximately 1,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across eastern Pennsylvania, providing services that support employment, education, recreation, community engagement, and independence.
We are proud to share our story through All Access with Andy Garcia and grateful for the opportunity to bring greater awareness to the power of inclusion and the impact of meaningful employment.
Watch the video and see how Via is helping people reach their full potential every day.
