  • In the 2004-05 season, hit 33 three pointers, grabbed 34 boards and was an 82 percent shooter from the charity stripe.
  • AMERICAN – Hayes was named to the Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year, Patriot League All-Tournament Team, Second Team All-Patriot League and was awarded PL Player of the Week twice, respectively.
  • In the 2006-07 season, the junior guard broke into American University’s All-Time Record Book in numerous areas: points in a game (30 vs. Monmouth) points in a season (461) free-throw percentage in a season (.833) three-point field goal percentage in a game and season holds first place in the all-time record book for three-point field goals made in a game with seven(Delaware, 11/17) and for three-point field goals made in a season with 78.
  • Averaging 14.4 points per game and 2.9 assists per game, Hayes led the squad to their second appearance in the Patriot League Championship.
  • In the conference tournament, the captain averaged a team-high 15.3 points per game.
