Tips & Strategies on How to Provide Remote Services Shared by ODP & BSASP

As we all adapt to the idea of remote supports for individuals, we wanted to take some time to highlight some ways to remotely support and engage with your teams. 

No matter what method, technology or software you are using for remote supports, it’s important to make sure the teams supporting individuals are also communicating, connecting, and supporting one other. 

We encourage teams to check in with each other regularly using the same remote supports you are using with the participant (e.g., Skype, FaceTime, Zoom). Providing one another a method to check in, share ideas/ways to support the individual, and maintain consistency during this time of uncertainty is important. Remote supports for teams can also be a good way to train and ensure others are verse in support strategies for the individual.
