Become an Employment Partner

Businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley are turning to adults with disabilities to strengthen and diversify their labor force.  Via’s Community Employment Services deliver bottom-line value to your business through its quality staffing solutions.

Via is a leader in employment training and placement and has helped thousands of people with disabilities gain meaningful employment in their communities.  Hundreds of business partners have prospered by hiring these dedicated, quality employees.

How Does Via Help Businesses Find the Right Match?

Our Employment Specialists take the time to match the employee with the employer.  Before recommending a prospective employee, a vocational assessment is conducted at actual businesses to determine that individual’s work abilities and interests.  These assessments are conducted in the community at actual businesses, to provide the prospect the opportunity to experience real community employment.

Via’s staff work closely with businesses to provide employees that enhance the company’s productivity, efficiency and profitability.  Once a position is identified, Via provides consultation and assistance to the employer and on-the-job-training and orientation for the employee.  This support continues as long as is needed, and becomes less or unnecessary as the employee becomes acclimated to the work situation and responsibilities, and develops natural supports among co-workers.  Employment Specialists remain available to employers for questions or other help with:

How to get involved

COVID-19

COVID-19 UPDATE:

To comply with Governor Wolf’s mandate that non-essential businesses be closed and with guidance from the PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), that funds many of our programs, Small Group Employment, many Community Employment Services, Creative Expressions Adult Training Facility and Prevocational Workshop are closed for participants until the mandate is lifted.

However, ODP has determined that home and community-based services are considered life-sustaining and are exempt from the Governor’s directive asking for the closure of all non-essential businesses.  Therefore, Via will provide limited Community Participation supports, In-Home services and Behavioral Support services.  As we learn more from ODP, coordinators will reach out to participants about services that are available.  We are reaching out to Via staff now to determine who can provide these services.

Coordinators are working remotely and are available by email or phone to answer your questions.  Please contact your coordinator by email or phone if you need anything or email Via@ViaNet.org.
