Via’s mission is to provide leadership, support, opportunities
and resources for people so they may be independent, productive
and enjoy full lives within the community. To fulfill that
mission, Via relies on support from businesses, municipalities,
organizations and individuals to fill funding state funding
gaps for our programs.
Via has developed partnerships with local cities and companies
to strengthen our relationships within our community. We continue
to find creative ways to serve children and adults through
partnership building with our friends and neighbors. Consider
partnering with Via to support our programs for children and
adults with disabilities.
Children’s Programs… Children deserve
a bright and healthy start in life.
•
Early Intervention - Therapists work with infants and toddlers
in their homes and daycare facilities to address delays and
include caregivers in the teaching process so therapy can
continue at home.
• Inclusive Early Learning - Childcare facilities receiving
training so they can provide care and education for children
with special needs to ensure all children have the opportunity
to develop and learn with their peers.
Employment Services… Work is a typical adult
responsibility and everyone should have the opportunity to
contribute to the employed community.
•
Community & Transitional Employment - Via staff develop
partnerships with Lehigh Valley employers and support people
in jobs throughout the region. Via job developers and coaches
are also work with school districts, potential employers,
and recent high school graduates to create job opportunities
and success.
• ViaWorks - Via provides onsite job training in small
groups supervised by Via Staff. Work is done at the company
alongside typically-abled coworkers.
• Via Industrial & Business Services - Businesses
subcontract assembly and packaging work and help improve the
quality of life by assisting people with disabilities to acquire
work skills in Via’s workshop.
Community Living & Residential Services…
Adults want to be valuable, active, and productive members
of their community.
•
Community Mentoring - Via helps adults discover preferences
and choose recreational and volunteer activities within their
community to participate in as independently as possible.
• Retirement Services - Via helps people who are over
or nearing age 60, transition to retirement to maintain skills,
participate in leisure and volunteer activities, and stay
active.
• Supported Living - Via helps individuals with disabilities
find and/or purchase their own affordable, accessible apartment
or home.
Program Partner Levels are available in each of our service
lines and for each program within those areas of focus. Choose
to support any of our programs as they fit into your organizations
community support goals. Via is always open to new and creative
ways to best serve the children and adults we support every
day.
