Via and Lehigh Valley Hospital Announce
New Lehigh Valley Marathon Partnership
(April 9,2008) Via of the Lehigh Valley announced a new partnership
with Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) for the Via Marathon scheduled
for September 7, 2008. LVH has taken the role as title sponsor
of the newly named Lehigh Valley Hospital Marathon for Via
presented by 69 WFMZ-TV.
Via All-Star Basketball Classic Announces Team Selections
(February 29, 2008) The Via All-Star Basketball Classic returns
for its 33rd year to raise funds for Via of the Lehigh Valley’s
programs for adults and children with disabilities.
Players for the All-Star teams and participants for the Coordinated
Health 3-Point Shooting contest were announces today.

May Just Be Old Clothing To You…
(October 12, 2007) Companies are helping Via of the
Lehigh Valley raise money for programs for children with disabilities
in a unique way this fall. D&B and other Lehigh Valley
companies are hosting clothing drives to benefit Via’s
Children’s Services. In partnership with Waste Management,
Via works with local companies to collect employees’
unwanted clothing for resale in Via Thrift Stores.

Relay Marathon Results
(September 9, 2007) More than 820 runners participated
in the inaugural Via Lehigh
River Relay Marathon Run today, Sunday, September 9, 2007.
One hundred and thirty three teams and 153 marathon runners
hit the streets running to help raise money for Via of the
Lehigh Valley's programs for children and adults with disabilities.

(August 1, 2007) Via
of the Lehigh Valley has added a new race division to
encourage some friendly competition between all of the cities,
boroughs and townships involved in the Via
Lehigh River Relay Marathon Run on September 9, 2007.
Creating Unique Business Opportunities
for People with Disabilities
(July 25, 2007) Billy Simmons will soon realize his
dream of owning his own business. Thanks to assistance
from Via of the Lehigh Valley, Billy’s Tropical
Fish Farm, an on-line retailer of aquarium fish, will
be open for business in August. Billy’s Tropical
Fish Farm will supply customers with next day delivery
of a wide variety of uncommon aquatic pets.
Via Thrift Boutique Opens in Bethlehem
(July 19, 2007) The Via Thrift Boutique opened
this week in the Westgate Mall to a great crowd. Featuring
designer and name brand clothing and accessories at thrift
store prices, the Via Thrift Boutique carries items for women,
men and juniors.
Via Announces Date & New Course
Design of Via Lehigh River Relay Marathon Run
(June 20, 2007) Via of the Lehigh Valley (Via) announced today
the newly designed Via Lehigh River Relay Marathon Run will
be Sunday, September 9, 2007. This unique five-person
team relay and individual run follows a 26.2 mile course along
the Lehigh River Canal Towpath through Allentown, Bethlehem
and Easton.

(June 14, 2007) Via of the Lehigh Valley announced today several
new appointments to its board of directors. The organization
added the following community leaders: Mark Bacak, Barbara
Davies, Eugene Lennon, Paul Pierpoint and Kerry Wrobel.
Via of the Lehigh Valley Receives
Grant from Just Born, Inc. for Inclusive Childcare Program
(May 1, 2007) Via of the Lehigh Valley received a $5,000 grant
from Just Born, Inc, in Bethlehem, PA for its Inclusive Childcare
program. In partnership with the United Way, Via's Inclusive
Childcare program trains local daycare centers to they can
provide care for all children inclusing those with disabilities.
Via Presents Awards to Staff for
Exemplary Performance and Years of Service
(April 26, 2007) Via of the Lehigh Valley presented several
awards to employees recognizing outstanding service for people
with disabilities. In addition, Via recognized 219 years
of service for employees of Via of the Lehigh Valley.
