Yes, this race is certified and times can be used to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

Can we substitute relay team members?
Yes, please email G.Stano@vianet.org if you wish to make a substitution prior to pick-up of race packets. Please no race day substitutions.
Where do I pin my race number?
Pin race number on the front of your shirt or shorts so that your bib can be read by our announcer. Do not pin bib numbers on your back.
When should I arrive at the start?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the race start.
Where do I park on race day at the start?
Parking is available in the parking garage behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 9th and Hamilton Streets and the Linden Street parking garage between 8th 9th street (formerly Hess’ parking garage).
Will there be a baggage check tent?
A baggage check is provided at no cost near the start. Bags will be transported to the finish line.
How can I get back to the start after the race?
Shuttle buses will be available between 10 am and 2 pm from the finish line back to the race start. Relay teams are responsible for their own transportation. Directions will be provided to all team captains and are available under Travel & Directions; they include instructions for directions and parking information for exchange points. Usually, as one person finishes their leg of the race, they drive to the next leg to pick up their next team member and so on until the end.

How do the exchanges work for the relay?
Team members wait at their designated exchange point. It is up to each relay team who runs each leg of the race. At the exchange point, the incoming team member slaps the hand of the waiting teammate.
Can a relay team have less than 5 people?
Yes, teams can do the relay with only two, three or four runners. Every relay team must make an exchange at each exchange point. If your team has 2 runners, one runner could run leg 1, 3 and 5 the other runner would run leg 2 and 4. This will allow the team to make an exchange at each exchange point.
Are drinks available on the course?
Yes, there are 15 water stops along the course spaced approximately every 1 ½ miles. At each stop the first table will have water followed by a second table with Gatorade .
What if I have to go to the bathroom during the race?
Port-O-Lets are available along the race course at exchange zones.
Where is the best place for people to watch the race?
The best place for spectators is at the exchanges points along the course.
What if I get hurt or cannot finish the race?
In addition to the medical tent at the finish line, there will be a satellite medical station at every exchange. Paramedics are positioned throughout the course. Transportation to the finish is available to anyone unable to complete the race.

Is food available at the finish?
Yes, to all race participants.
