Local company’s Corporate Clothing Drives
can help Via of the Lehigh Valley raise money to
support programs for children with disabilities living in
our community. All children deserve a bright and healthy start
in life and your company can make a difference!
Via’s Corporate Clothing Drive Program is designed
to benefit programs for children with disabilities living
in our community. It also serves as a connection between the
community and our organization which is vital in the day-to-day
operation of Via.
The goals are:
• Raise funds for Via Children’s Services.
• Educate your employees of the importance of Via’s
role in the community and how their support benefits people
with disabilities.
• Encourage every employee to fill and return a ten
pound bag of unwanted clothing that will go directly to Via
Thrift Stores, community based stores that benefit Via’s
programs.
How a Clothing Drive Works
A receptacle, hosted by Waste
Management, will be conveniently located on your company’s
property. The receptacle will be attended to on a daily basis
by Via of the Lehigh Valley. Via and Waste Management will
provide ten pound bags for your employees to take home, fill
with unwanted clothing and return to the receptacle for donation.
With your company’s permission, Via can also help you
use your company’s intranet or inside
communication network to educate your employees about Via
Children’s Services and the Corporate Clothing Drive
program. We will inform your employees of how their clothing
donation will affect our programs and what their donation
means to a child with a disability. Via will also provide
a link where employees can pledge money to support Via’s
programs. Via will monitor and report progress on your company’s
Corporate Clothing Drive progress.
