The Via Marathon in 2007 was the first marathon in the Lehigh Valley since 1983. Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton embraced the race and turned it into a true Valley wide event. The media showcased the event for a 3–month period and provided Via the opportunity to raise awareness about the need for community-wide support for programs for people with disabilities.
