Race Course Description & Maps
The course is created by Bart Yasso, Chief Running Officer, Runner’s World Magazine, member of the Running USA Hall of Champions and Race Director Emeritus. Runners will love the scenic, net descent course, designed with them in mind.

Course Description
The 26.2 mile course starts at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown and takes runners through the beautiful Lehigh Parkway to the Lehigh River Canal Towpath continuing through Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.
Along the way, runners will enjoy the scenic beauty of the Lehigh Parkway and the Lehigh River, pass through Bethlehem’s Historic Quarter, utilize miles of beautifully canopied trails including cinder, paved and grass surfaces, and end at the confluence of the Lehigh and Delaware Rivers at Center Square in Easton. The course is approximately 6 miles of paved road, 8 miles paved bike trail and 12 miles of towpath.
All participants should be able to complete the course within an average of a 14-minute per mile pace. Course maintenance and street closures will cease along the course based on average of a 14-minute per mile pace, with all maintenance ceasing at 1pm. At portions of the course that on public roads, the course will be opened back up for vehicle traffic. If you fall behind this pace, please move to sidewalks or safe areas for pedestrian travel. We cannot guarantee that you will find water or food after the course is closed. If you do not think you can complete the course by 1pm, please ask a water station volunteer to arrange for an assistance vehicle to the Finish Line, Center Square in Easton.
The Finish Festival ends at noon however, food and beverages will be available until 1pm.
Relay Team Legs*
Legs are rated on degree of difficulty; one star (*) is least difficult and five stars (* * * * *) is most difficult.
Leg 1 - 5.5 miles
Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest & I-78 (Allentown) to Parkettes, Martin Luther King Dr. & S. 4th St. (Allentown)
2.3 miles on paved road, 3.2 miles on cinder trail.
* * * no hills, very flat (ends at mile marker 5.5).
Leg 2 - 6.5 miles
Parkettes, Martin Luther King Dr. & S. 4th St. (Allentown) to Main St. Depot Restaurant, Main & Lehigh St. (Bethlehem)
2.8 miles on paved road, 3.7 miles on cider trail.
* * * * * - because of length, no hills, very flat (ends at mile marker 12).
Leg 3 - 4.8 miles
Main St. Depot Restaurant, Main & Lehigh St. (Bethlehem) to Canal Park, Main St. & Lockhouse Rd. (Freemansburg)
3.2 miles on cinder trail, 1.6 miles on paved road.
* * - no hills, very flat (ends at mile marker 16.8).
Leg 4 - 5.8 miles
Canal Park, Main St. & Lockhouse Rd. (Freemansburg) to Riverview Park, Lehigh Dr. (Palmer Township)
3.0 miles on cinder trail, 0.4 miles on dirt road, 2.4 miles on paved bike trail.
* * * * - because of length, no hills, very flat (ends at mile marker 22.6).
Leg 5 - 3.6 miles
Riverview Park, Lehigh Dr. (Palmer Township) to Center Square, 3rd St. & Northampton St. (Easton)
1.6 miles on paved road, 2.0 miles on paved bike trail.
* - short leg (ends at mile marker 26.2).
