Glenn NoackGlenn Noack | Inducted: 2008
Whitehall High School | 1978-1982

During his junior and senior years at Whitehall High School, Glenn Noack was the starting forward on the East Penn Conference and District XI Championship teams.  Glenn made the game winning free throws to beat New Castle High School, 42 to 38, giving Whitehall the state title.  Glenn earned the honors of being named first team East Penn Conference All-Star and became the most valuable player of the Via All-Star championship game by scoring 22 points. Glenn was previously inducted into the Whitehall High School Hall of Fame as part of the 1982 state championship team.

Glenn continued his education and basketball career at Bloomsburg University where he holds the records for all-time season free throws (88.3%), 9th in PSAC all-time; career free throws (84.6%); 5th in PSAC all-time; all-time consecutive free throws (33 free throw); 2nd all-time career points (1,504); 5th all-time career assists (257); and 5th all-time career rebounds (624).

Glenn was the starting forward on the 1983 NCAA Region champion team and the 1983 PSAC championship team. He was honored with Rookie of the Year in ECAC region; two-time first team all-PSAC conference 1985-1986; two-time first team all-ECAC region 1985-1986 and is a 1996 Bloomsburg University Hall of Fame inductee.

Glenn remained active in the game of basketball after college and was named the 1993 most valuable player of the Joe McCarron men’s tournament by setting the single game scoring record of 51 points in the championship game. He was also honored with the 1992 most valuable player of the Stellar Aluminum men’s tourney and the 1994 most valuable player of the Polzer Tournament.

Glenn began his coaching career as the assistant boys’ basketball coach at Whitehall High School (1992 - 1998) and led the team to two District XI championships and five East Penn Conference league titles. Other assistant coaching stints include Lehigh University (1999 - 2003), DeSales University (2004 - 2005) and Muhlenberg College.

Glenn is actively involved in youth sports. He is the on the board of directors for the Hurricane Basketball Club; is a founder of the Lehigh Valley Vipers AAU Girls Basketball Club;
and was the president of the Lehigh Valley Girls Basketball League 7/8 grade for two seasons.

Glenn and his wife, Susan, have been married for 18 years. They have a daughter, Catherine, who is a sophomore at Liberty High School and a son, Greg, who is a 7th grader at Nitschmann Middle School. Glenn is the principal of George D. Steckel Elementary School.
